Things to take care while driving to reduce the risk of COVID-19

Coronavirus pandemic has taken over many people under its grip and who are not infected are at high risk of getting infection. As a citizen of this world it is our duty to aware people and family members to reduce the spread of this infection. The mentioned precautionary points must be followed by drivers in order to reduce the risk of covid-19:

ALWAYS REMEMBER PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE

·        Washing hands after in regular intervals

It is necessary to wash your hands after a regular interval of time with an anti-bacterial soap in order to prevent the virus to grow. Also carry a sanitizer with you in order to sanitize hands if you can’t wash them.

·        Social distancing

Keep a distance of at least 6 feet from other people whether he is fit or ill. Remember your safety is in your hands.

No shake hands with anyone. Greet people in other ways like Indian tradition way of Namastey.

 ·        Wear mask

Wearing a mask in as necessary as washing hands. It helps in preventing the infected droplets from entering your nose. If you touched your face accidentally it will act as a shield to prevent direct contact from your face.

·        Sanitize the truck often

During your haul whenever someone touch or open the door, sanitize it first before touching. Daily sanitization is very important from both inside and outside of the truck. It will reduce the chances of virus spreading.

·        Coming back home

It is the most important point because it directly linked with your family. Whenever you reached home, first wash your hands for 20 seconds with anti-bacterial soap and take a bath, the clothes must be washed. After that you can meet your family members.

·        People with underlying chronic conditions

Older and people having underlying chronic problems like heart, kidney or lung disease are at higher risk of getting infection and develop serious health complications. Consult your doctor for any additional steps that may be helpful for you.

These are some general awareness points that a driver must take care. They have worked very hard during covid-19 and are still feeding us. It is our duty to appreciate them and help them. Take care of your known trucker and keep motivating them.
